Halloween

We had a fabulous Halloween party and parade. Our costumes were AWESOME! Thanks so much to all of the parent volunteers:) Our parents lead five fantastic centers. The kiddos had a blast. They really enjoyed the delicious snacks that were sent in, as well. The four centers included: Pass the ball to Halloween songs,  Halloween patterns, Halloween bingo, Roll a Jack-o-lantern, and Pin a Dot on the Witch.

Daily 5 Routine

Our kiddos are doing such a great job with our Daily 5/ Centers. We have Read to Someone, Read to Self, Work on Writing, Word Work, and Listen to a Story. Ask your child about our Daily 5 routine. They have been loving it!

Fire Safety Week-October 12, 2012

We had a fantastic fire safety week. We learned so many fire safety tips. I hope you had the chance to check out your child's tip! We had a special visit from our firemen and dog! Check it out:)

Our First Mystery Reader-October 12, 2012

Our kiddos were so excited about our mystery reader! I gave them 5 clues throughout the day. Talia guessed that it was her mom on the very last clue:) Talia's mom read us a FUN Halloween story. The kids loved it! Thanks so much for coming in, Mrs. Thomasson!

We had a GREAT week!

We had a great time learning about filling other people's buckets with Mrs. Hansberry! We all created our own buckets.

 We had such a FUN apple day. Our moms did such a fabulous job running our apple centers. We made apple trees with finger paint. We tasted and graphed what apples we liked best. We made paper plate apples with torn red construction paper. We made our own Apple Faces books. We made apples on top of our heads pages to go into our class book. We enjoyed all of our delicious apple snacks!

 We are reading every day to build our stamina!

Welcome to Miss Minardi's Classroom Blog! We have had a great first few days of school. We have learned our classroom rules. The kiddos are quite excited about our behavior system. We have been getting to know one another through afternoon meeting. We love our smartboard and get to do our calendar on there everyday! I took a couple of pictures of our classroom! Mrs. Corino and I worked for a few weeks in the Summer to make it ready for all of the boys and girls. I think that they all love it! I hope you do, too!
